Sagar
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Juluti Subsector of Extent Sector.
Astrography and Planetology
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- It forms a part of the Sithula Sprawl.

System Data
The primary is an unnamed ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0268 Sols, a mass of 0.4258 Sols, and a diameter of 658,000 km. (I-I) Sagar, designated the mainworld, and (I-II) an exotic atmosphere radworld have a shared orbit within the habitable zone. (II) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (III) a trace atmosphere iceworld, (IV) a ringed large gas giant, (V) a small gas giant, and (VI) a ringed large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(I-I) Sagar
(I-I) Sagar is designated the mainworld. It orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.09 AU (13.5 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 15 days 3 hours: it is tidally locked to the primary. The axial tilt is 88 degrees. Sagar has a diameter of 4,933 km, a density of 4.16 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.29 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of the primary cause regular geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as Very Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.12 bar and a composition of 85% nitrogen (N2), 13% abiotic oxygen (O2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen and the relatively high levels of background radiation: emission rates exceed 1 rad per hour. Approximately 21% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.5m. Mean surface temperature: 27°C. The atmosphere is slow and weak weather systems driven by the star and the seas drift across the globe. The climate is static.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
Total surface area: 77 million km², Land surface area: 61 million km², Water surface area: 16 million km².
- The oxygen in the atmosphere is abiotic in origin, produced by the photocatalytic reaction between the high levels of UV energy radiating from the star and titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is found in surface minerals such as ilmenite.
- The world experiences libration, which causes the star to move in the sky and periodically rise and fall above the horizon in the Twilight region.
Native Lifeforms
No world in the Sagar system is known to have native life.
