Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Sable class Heavy System Defense Monitor is a defensive warship.
- It is a military ship and a Heavy System Defense Monitor.
Description (Specifications)
It is a vessel with 2-G and J-0 performance. Built at the Sable des Etoiles (world) naval boatyards from massive native, nickle-iron aseteroids, These beasts are used to ensure no one ever escapes from the penal colony. The trade off got their heavy weapons and hull armor is the poor acceleration and agility. They are used by the Strend Navy to protect a single system.
- These monitors are equipped to TL–13 with the best weapons array available. The spinal mounted meson gun is complimented by vast missile batteries. They have the heaviest possible armor.
- There are three large service shuttles for refuelling operations and personnel transfers.
- It has a 738 sophont crew and 99 marines. Everyone has their own stateroom for extended crew comfort.
