Description (Specifications)
A semi-private company, SMART is guided by a board appointed by Archduke Norris. The company gathers its information from both government-subsidized and private sources. SMART branch offices can be found on most major worlds in the Domain.
History & Background (Dossier)
Organized by Eura Regnis of the Regina Center for Research, the Spinward Marches Archival Retrieval Team (SMART) was conceived in 1117 to restore library data service throughout the Domain of Deneb. By 1119, SMART was up and running. The team's members were derived from both the academic and business communities, and include noted journalist Akidda Laagiir, SMART's director since its opening.
