Rusadaa is an agricultural world with an ideal environment for producing food from plants, animals, or other forms. The system has a population between 100,000 and 10 million sophonts. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Arnakhish Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Rusadaa, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a baron. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. The system supports both an Imperial Naval Base and a Scout Base with the additional starship traffic. During the Long Night this world was named Nanarzan.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Rusadaa is a member of the Rusadaa Trace. The naval base hosts elements of the 205th Fleet.

Although orbiting a cool M-class star, extensive ocean-centered tectonic activity warms Rusadaa significantly, through thermal venting, to make the world a reasonably pleasant place to live. The seams themselves are warm enough to prevent any ice formation even at the poles in winter. A rich aquaculture has developed, with a mix of fish and plant life being harvested, usually by huge factory farms and ships. The price to pay for this habitable biosphere is the constant threat of massive tsunamis originating from the deep ocean sea quakes. Most structures are hardened to protect the inhabitants from all but the largest waves. The IISS maintains an extensive geological and meteorological monitoring service.

History and background[edit]

The majority of the funds for the continued presence comes from the subsector government's highlighting Rusadaa's importance as a primary agricultural exporter.
