Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. No. | Category | Remarks |
1. | Tonnage / Hull | The design is constructed using an 800 Ton hull built in a Flattened Sphere configuration. The hull is fully streamlined, giving good atmospheric performance that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems.
2. | Crew | 29 personnel.
Accommodations
Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems.
3. | Performance | The vessel mounts a Jump-2 drive, a Maneuver-6 drive, and a Power Plant-6, giving performance of Jump-2 and 6-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 4 and an emergency agility of 6. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for one Jump-2 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration.
4. | Electronics | Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/5 computer: no backup computer is installed.
5. | Hardpoints | 8 hardpoints.

8. | Craft | Vehicles
The Air/Raft hanger can be sealed and has a volume of 4 Tons. |
9. | Fuel Treatment | The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 208 Tons.
10. | Cost | The basic cost of the vessel is MCr889.789

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Rule of Man class Brigs were common Terran vessels that saw service towards the end of the Second Imperium. It was a typical starship of its period, with a heavily armored hull, over-engineered Jump-2 drives and powerful 6-G maneuver drives. The rugged little ships were popular and saw service long into the Long Night. Hundreds of examples of the vessel still exist, though most are derelict, skeletal hulks that populate "mothball fleet" graveyards dating to the Rule of Man. A few examples have been restored.
