  • The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
  • As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
  • Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
  • This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Regina Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
  • This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling IISS starships and personnel.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)

Roup is a water world situated on the express boat route from Regina (Spinward Marches 1910) to Efate (Spinward Marches 1705). Its population of 3.4 billion is concentrated on the peaks of a few underwater mountains, the only dry land on the world.

History & Background (Dossier)

In addition to Roup Startown, other major settlements on Roup include Renoir, Lurka, Rudun, Ishakema, Lameburg, and Shikii City.

The Tukera family maintains a villa on the island of Lurka as well as dockside and cargo rights for regular route cargo and liner visits to Roup.

Real food (as opposed to the local concentrates made from fish) is highly prized by the population. Roup’s citizens practice aquaculture on a planetary scale, with whole oceans sectioned off using bubblenets to maximize productivity.
