Roup is a water world situated on the express boat route from Regina (Spinward Marches 1910) to Efate (Spinward Marches 1705). Its population of 3.4 billion is concentrated on the peaks of a few underwater mountains, the only dry land on the world. In addition to Roup Startown, other major settlements on Roup include Renoir, Lurka, Rudun, Ishakema, Lameburg, and Shikii City. Real food (as opposed to the local concentrates made from fish) is highly prized by the population.
