The Refugee Pilgrim class Transport is a TL–12 Transport.

Description

The Refugee Pilgrim class Transport class Transport is used by the Tenjada Moralitate Holy Merchant Marine, which comprises the spacefaring commercial interests of Tenjada Moralitate-registered ships and their crews. Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Mavuzog Sectors. The vessel has a partially streamlined, close structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and a fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness gas giant refueling.

The hull is partially streamlined allowing gas giant refueling, that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems. The vessel has ten airlocks. The cargo hold is accessed by a large lateral doors that also serves to anchor docking clamps for service vehicles.
2.	Crew	x73 personnel. x11 command, x21 engineering, x11 flight, x20 services, and x10 security. Accommodations There are 123 Staterooms. 73 Staterooms are given over to the crew. All crew quarters are single occupancy. Up to 25 "High Passage" passengers may be carried. The steward sees to their needs. Up to 25 additional "Middle Passage" passengers may be carried. There are 95 Low Berths. They are tended by the ship's doctor and their medical staff. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-3 drive, a Maneuver-3 drive, and a Power Plant-3, giving performance of Jump-3 and 3-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 2 and an emergency agility of 2. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a single Jump-3 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. It is fitted with drop tanks, should extended range operations be required. The engineering section has a main control room. The jump drive utilizes a lanthanum hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/4 computer: no backup computer is installed. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a basic sensor array, and has an avionics suite. They have system range laser, microwave and radio communication arrays. It has an automatic holy transponder unit that interrogates other systems within range at all times, exchanging scriptural passages to authenticate and update all systems with the latest patch levels.
5.	Hardpoints	x100 hardpoints. The listed weapons systems are typical for the class. Alternative weaponry may be designated for specific missions.
6.	Armament	Refugee Pilgrim class Transports are not normally fitted with weapon systems while working with civilian followers, those in naval service belong to a related variant class.
7.	Defenses	The hull is unarmored. The vessel is not fitted with screens or other passive defensive systems.
8.	Craft	The vessel carries five 55 dton Utility Boat subcraft for interface, passenger and cargo transfer duties.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 3,300 Tons. They are delivered with a new set of optional jump 3 drop tanks, which can be fitted as needed. The hull is fitted with fuel scoops. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in 8 hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr5,470.003 (base) MCr4,376.002 (qty) Architects Fee: MCr54.7
11.	Construction Time	160 weeks as standard, 128 weeks in bulk. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 3,400 Tons. The cargo hold can be sealed and has independent life support and environmental systems. Sections of the hold may be isolated if desired and can be provided with specialized environmental conditions, typically refrigeration.

History & Background

There are 10 currently in service, 30 have been converted and pressed into military fleet logistic support and troop transport roles. The Refugee Pilgrim class Transport class Transport is used by the Tenjada Moralitate Holy Merchant Marine. It is a basic but reliable vessel with a spacious hold accessed by a ventral ramp. Many locally-modified variants of the design exist, usually with different numbers of staterooms and low berths, the addition of subcraft or vehicles, or upgraded performance and electronics. The five utility boats can not evacuate all passengers and crew in one lift in the event of dire emergency. Tradition holds that the most holy high passengers, and whatever middle passengers that will fit go. The only crew that goes are the five boat pilots, who are expected to devote their remaining years of life to the church, in exchange for the miracle of their salvation should their charges survive. The remaining crew and sleepers are expected to be martyred as needed.
