Quinarim is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gadde Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Quinarim, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. The system supports both an Imperial Naval Base and a Scout Base with the additional starship traffic. During the Long Night this world was named Agag.

Astrography and planetology

This system is a member of Pukh-Shea cluster. The naval base hosts elements of the 219th Fleet.

Ships visiting Quinarim should be aware that the equatorial region suffers from almost continuous storms and lightning strikes. Instrument landings are recommended.

History and background

Like many water-worlds, Quinarim's modest wealth relies on Aquaculture. Its only other industries of note are infant mining and tourist operations. The small but well-equipped starport is more than adequate to serve the planet's trading needs.

The only significant development on the horizon is the possible purchase of wide tracts of ocean by Scanian representatives who are eager to establish a colony. While many of the small businesses welcome the prospect of an increase in the population base to boost their trade, many of the general population are suspicious of any Scanian immigration. Some vociferous opponents have formed a pressure group to campaign against the arrival of the Scanians.
