Ouskathoerz is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Llaeghskath Interacterate in the Llaezgaen Subsector of Provence Sector in the Vargr Extents.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- It lies on the Llaegharrgh Chain.
- The population largely consists of humans.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Ouskathoerz is a binary star system.
- Both are orange main sequence stars.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Ouskathoerz is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Ouskathoerz has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Ouskathoerz has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Faith and Belief[edit]
The world follows a moderate form of the Faarzgaen religion. One of the core elements of the faith is that the god directly influences his followers actions. He implants feelings and thoughts into their bodies and minds, suggesting how and when they should eat, sleep, behave, and generally conduct themselves. If they are hungry, Faarzgaen wants them to eat, if they are tired, Faarzgaen wants them to rest. Those who commit immoral or criminal acts are seen as having chosen not to follow Faarzgaen's guidance. While religious beliefs do influence thinking across many worlds where the Faarzgaen faith is followed, secular issues are generally conducted independent of any religious oversight. Though Faarzgaen is present within all aspects of life a clear distinction between church and state is maintained.
The Jihad of Faarzgaen is a radical Faarzgaen sect that has declared followers of moderate Faarzgaen-worship to be heretics: their territories and possessions are to be seized, and the unbelievers themselves should either be forcibly converted to the faith or destroyed. Hordes of fanatics stand poised to sweep in and ravage the world.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Ouskathoerz has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Ouskathoerz has a population of 8,000,000 sophonts (millions).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The population almost entirely consists of humans.
- Less than 5% of the population is made up of Vargr.
World Languages[edit]
A number of languages are spoken on Ouskathoerz:
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Ouskathoerz possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.

World Government (G)[edit]
Ouskathoerz is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to write the policies voted on. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by voting population.
World Law (L)[edit]
Ouskathoerz has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
