The Otari are a Human chimera, genetically engineered during the Rule of Man to allow them to survive in the harsh environment of Otrai (Glimmerdrift Reaches 0329).

History & Background (Dossier)

The Otari were genetically engineered during the Rule of Man for survival on Otrai (Glimmerdrift Reaches 0929). The tainted atmosphere and hostile biochemistry make the world uninhabitable by unaltered humans. The Otrai remain an isolated, independent culture outside the borders of the Imperium. Most of the changes are biochemical, allowing the Otari to filter the otherwise poisonous atmosphere and survive on the local flora and fauna. Otherwise the Otari are a deeply spiritual people, vitally concerned with matters of religion and faith.
