History & Background (Dossier)
Light Vilani settlement during the Ziru Sirka was followed by much heavier Solomani emigration at the end of the Interstellar Wars period. The centrally located Cthonia became the predominate industrial and trade center of the subsector. This influence continued during the Long Night through the actions of the Protectorate of Cthonia, which lasted until the arrival of the Third Imperium.
- The last worlds conquered in the Solomani Rim War in Alpha Crucis by the Imperial Navy were the five worlds on the spinward border, with the remaining worlds part of the Solomani Confederation
- Today, Cthonia’s influence persists in the form of the Orichalc Regional Defense Association (ORDA), a military alliance of 14 worlds in Orichalc and Auva subsectors.
- Despite Cthonia's historical dominance, by 1105 the most important world in the subsector is actually Summit, a high population, heavily industrialized system.
