The Oriah Subsector of the Alpha Crucis Sector contains 34 worlds with a population of 162.3 billion. The highest population is 90 billion, at Weeven. The highest tech level is E at Beta Silab, Point, Underhill and Oriah. Ordbdir, Oriah, and Point are the most important worlds in the subsector.

Most of the subsector lies within the borders of the Solomani Confederation, though the non-aligned Corosso and Darlany systems are within Imperium space. Over the last century anti-Solomani Party sentiment in Oriah has been on the rise, fueled by a loss of confidence in the Party following the Solomani Rim War.

Oriah benefits from a pair of lengthy Jump-1 trade routes that connect this subsector with Auva and Fervore. The subsector was colonized during the early and middle Rule of Man period, with most settlers originating from older Terran colonies in Alpha Crucis or the Solomani Rim sectors.
