Oora is a non-agricultural and nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It has few prospects for economic development.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Aredian Subsector of Far Home Sector.

System Data
Bolck-Oora System
The primary is Bolck, a dim red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0055 Sols, a mass of 0.302 Sols, and a diameter of 444,000 km. (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) Oora, designated the mainworld, (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (IV) a ringed large gas giant, (V) a small gas giant, and (VI) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(II) Oora
(II) Oora is designated the mainworld. It orbits Bolck at a mean distance of 0.51 AU (76.3 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 242 days 2 hours: it is tidally locked to Bolck. The axial tilt is 4 degrees. Oora has a diameter of 2,732 km, a density of 5.64 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.22 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -135°C.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
Total surface area: 23 million km².
- Oora is a Twilight Zone World.
- The world experiences libration, which causes the star to move in the sky and periodically rise and fall above the horizon in the twilight region.
Native Lifeforms

World technology level
Oora possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
