Colonized in the second wave of settlement after the European Space Agency Long-range Colony Mission arrived in this sector of the Great Rift, it now boasts four major worlds with substantial populations. The most populous is Esperanza, far to the edge of the cluster, followed by New Colchis, Joyeuse, and Serendip Belt.

These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr222 through 13 starports (4 Class A, 2 Class B, 5 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 25,650 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in New Islands maintain eight Military bases, and four Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 11). The highest technology level is 12 at Serendip Belt (Reft 1323), New Colchis (Reft 1327), and Joyeuse (Reft 1628).
