System Data[edit]

Wasach-Nevik System[edit]

The primary is Wasach, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.47 Sols, a mass of 0.848 Sols, and a diameter of 1.264 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a trace atmosphere worldlet, and (II) a vacuum worldlet. (III) Nevik orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a small gas giant, (V-I) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (V-II) a large gas giant, and (VI) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Salago Subsystem[edit]

The companion is Salago, a red subdwarf star lying approximately 5,520 AU from Wasach. It has a luminosity of 0.011 Sols, a mass of 0.154 Sols, and a diameter of 256,000 km. (I) a sparse stony planetoid belt forms the outer system. No body in the subsystem retains satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(III) Nevik[edit]

(III) Nevik is designated the mainworld. It orbits Wasach at a mean distance of 0.63 AU (94.3 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 198 days 8 hours and a rotation period of 23 hours. The axial tilt is 31 degrees. Nevik has a diameter of 7,701 km, a density of 4.21 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.46 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, with a mean surface pressure of 0.61 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 21% oxygen (O2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 44% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.25m. Mean surface temperature: 27°C. The climate is rated as Temperate-Warm and experiences major seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the seas sweep across the globe.

Satellite[edit]

Nevik retains a single natural satellite, a vacuum worldlet named Kenoda:

(IIIa) Kenoda (UWP Y100000-0, orbiting at 20 Diameters/155,000 km)

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 177 million km², Land surface area: 99 million km², Water surface area: 78 million km².

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Wasach-Nevik System[edit]

Nevik, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

No other world in the system is known to have native life.

Salago Subsystem[edit]

No body in the subsystem is known to have native life.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

No information yet available.

World starport[edit]

Nevik has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World technology level[edit]

Nevik possesses a Technology Level of TL–2.

World government[edit]

Nevik has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
