It is a member of Third Imperium in the Hebrin Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Domain of Antares. Neelamani, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Naval Base, capable of handling warships. 30% of the world's population is the Major Race Vargr.

History & Background (Dossier)

The last port of call before entering the Cairne-Corsabren Run, a Jump-5 route across the Lesser Rift, Neelamani provides a customs interface with the Julian Protectorate and independent worlds on the coreward end of the Run. Neelamani sees more "long legged" traffic than the route of the Saeghvung-Turley-Exile Run, as the Julian Protectorate has yet to enter into a trade agreement similar to that which the Imperium holds with the Hegemony of Lorean in support of the Deep Space Stations along the Saeghvung-Turley-Exile Run. Between the lack of easy transport across the Rift and the presence of one of the only three Imperial Naval Bases in the Quadrant, Neelamani has a reputation of being a much safer route than the easier Saeghvung-Turley-Exile Run, if one's vessel can handle a Jump of five or more parsecs.
