Musuk is a fluidic hellworld of sophonts struggling to survive in a inhospitable environment.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Nisor Subsector of Far Home Sector.

System Data[edit]
Beal-Musuk System[edit]
The primary is Beal, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.778 Sols, a mass of 0.96 Sols, and a diameter of 1.299 million km. The inner system consists of (I) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (II-I) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, and (II-II) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (III) Musuk orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) an exotic atmosphere stormworld forms the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Ulurdu-Gesh Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Ulurdu, a dim red subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.00103 Sols, a mass of 0.081 Sols, and a diameter of 109,000 km. The far companion is Gesh, a dim red subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.00006 Sols, a mass of 0.058 Sols, and a diameter of 73,700 km. The two stars have a close orbit, with a mean separation of 0.002 AU (299,000 km) and an orbital period around one another of 2 hours 6 minutes. (I) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (II) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, and (III) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. All of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(III) Musuk[edit]
(III) Musuk is designated the mainworld. It orbits Beal at a mean distance of 0.81 AU (121.2 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 271 days 18 hours and a rotation period of 19 hours. The axial tilt is 3 degrees. Musuk has a diameter of 11,904 km, a density of 4.99 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.84 G. The world is geologically very active. Its atmosphere is rated as Corrosive, with a mean surface pressure of 37.5 bar and a composition of 94% carbon dioxide (CO2), 4% nitrogen (N2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% carbon monoxide (CO), xenon (Xe), sulfur dioxide (SO2), water vapor (H2O), helium (He) and other trace gases. Approximately 17% of the surface is covered in seas of carbonic acid (H2CO3): average tidal ranges exceed 0.2m. Mean surface temperature: 94°C. The climate is rated as Very Hot and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is very active and violent weather systems driven by the star and the seas surge across the globe.
Satellite[edit]
Musuk retains a single natural satellite, a vacuum worldlet named Rinig:
- (IIIa) Rinig (known UWP ?300???-?, orbiting at 25 Diameters/295,000 km)
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
Total surface area: 445 million km², Land surface area: 369 million km², Water surface area: 76 million km².

Historical Data[edit]
Musuk was first surveyed during the 25th century and was certainly visited by long-range scout vessels who emplaced a navigation beacon. Its remoteness, inhospitability and lack of resources made it unattractive at best and the system was rarely if ever visited. At some point during the Dark Age the beacon ceased functioning. No official visits to the system have occurred over the last millennium.
- Physical details about the system and the mainworld are known and available.
- Details about the local starport, and any indigenous population and their society remain unknown.
World Timeline[edit]
- ca 2450AD: long-range scout vessels visit the system.
- 3730AD: the Voyagers devastate the Distant Fringe.
