Morian Khama is a water world with a world wide ocean, and a tainted atmosphere. The system supports a population between 100 million and one billion sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Arnakhish Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Morian Khama, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a marquis. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. This is the homeworld of the Neiikhi, a Human Chimera. During the Long Night this world was named Isshun.

Native Sophont : Neiikhi

Over the centuries the Web has developed its own unique characters. The whole port is maintained in zero-g and as a result the permanent inhabitants (known as Neiikhi, named after a type of Morian spider) have developed elongated bodies and delicate frames, often growing to heights in excess of 2.25 meters. They take great pride in the deep blue-black color of their skip, caused by excessive exposure to radiation. They prefer the use of skinsuits rather than shielded suits despite the resulting requirements of high levels of anti-carcinoma medication. Neiikhi are extremely agile in zero-g and look down on their noses at visitors who find it difficult to adjusts to weightlessness. Neiikhi refer to such visitors as Dross-flies. Needless to say, this attitude does not endear them to their visitors.

History and background

This planet was once prosperous with a number of cities competing against each other for trade and manufacturing. So intense was this inter-city rivalry they even resorted to terrorist tactics to destroy the reputations of their rivals. It wasn't long before most of the larger transport companies decided to bypass Morian completely.

In 322, Medurma Main StarLines built a space station on the outer edge of the system. Over the next six hundred years it grew into a sprawing metropolis as hundreds of previously derelict space stations and ship hulls were welded onto a network of spurs protruding out from the original port; a hollowed out asteroid. This intricate arrangement soon earned itself the name of the Web.

Morian found itself bankrupt yet the cities still insisted on maintaining their internal war. By 1100 Moran is a war-torn backwater rarely visited despite the high traffic volume in the system.
