System Data

Doju-Malk System

The primary is Doju, an ordinary orange main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.284 Sols, a mass of 0.723 Sols, and a diameter of 1.073 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, (II-I) an exotic atmosphere radworld, and (II-II) an exotic atmosphere stormworld. (III) Curso, an exotic atmosphere bigworld orbits within the habitable zone: (IIIa) Malk is its outer satellite and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, (V-I) a large gas giant, (V-II) a ringed very large gas giant, and (VI) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Orinin Subsystem

The companion is Orinin, a magenta-coloured L-type brown dwarf lying approximately 1,260 AU from Doju. It is not luminous, it has a mass of 0.062 Sols and a diameter of 60,000 km. (I) a sparse icy planetoid belt, and (II) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. The iceworld does not retain satellites.

(III) Curso

(III) Curso (UWP YCA1000-0) is designated a bigworld. It orbits Doju at a mean distance of 0.83 AU (124.2 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 324 days 20 hours and a rotation period of 53 hours. The axial tilt is 2 degrees. Curso has a diameter of 19,712 km, a density of 6.23 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.74 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Exotic, with a mean surface pressure of 5.75 bar and a composition of 95% nitrogen (N2), 3% carbon dioxide (CO2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% water vapor (H2O), abiotic oxygen (O2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne), xenon (Xe) and other trace gases. Approximately 7% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water: tidal ranges are negligible. Mean surface temperature: 63°C. The climate is rated as Very Hot and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is very active and powerful weather systems driven by the star surge across the globe.

Satellites

Curso retains two natural satellites, an exotic atmosphere hospitable world named Vasca and Malk, designated the mainworld:

(IIIb) Malk (designated the mainworld, orbiting at 35 Diameters/690,000 km)

Mainworld Data

(IIIb) Malk

(IIIb) Malk is the outer of the two major moons of (III) Curso and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 35 diameters (690,000 km), with an orbital period of 48 days 2 hours: it is tidally locked to Curso. The axial tilt is 3 degrees relative to Curso. Malk has a diameter of 8,078 km, a density of 4.33 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.50 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Curso cause constant geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Trace, with a mean surface pressure of 0.07 bar and a composition of 85% carbon dioxide (CO2), 13% nitrogen (N2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% water vapor (H2O), abiotic oxygen (O2), ozone (O3), xenon (Xe), neon (Ne), and other trace gases. Around 18% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -10°C. The climate is rated as Cold and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is ethereal and weather systems driven by the star ghost across the globe.

How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
