Lesser Rift

The Lesser Rift is a broad expanse of space with a very low density of stars (void) trailing the main region of the Third Imperium.

This rift is a pronounced impediment to interstellar travel, for it constrains jumps through several sectors including the Empty Quarter Sector.

• The Lesser Rift is lesser only when compared to the larger, more prominent Great Rift spinward of the Imperium.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Lesser Rift, like the Great Rift, has provided long-term security for the Third Imperium by constraining access to the Imperium's borders.

Gn'hk'r Jump Bridge

A jump-4 route, the J-4 Gn'hk'r Jump Bridge, exists across a narrow part of the Lesser Rift. It connects the Two Thousand Worlds with colonies on the other side -- the K'kree Outpost.
