The Lalendri of Lalendris (Numbis 3031) are a technologically sophisticated Minor Non-Human Race with a humanoid appearance.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

They are humanoid, and approximately human sized.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

They are a subject race of the K'kree.

While they were known to the exploring Hivers, official contact had not yet taken place. Encountered while still in a pre-industrial state by the K'kree shortly after the start of the Hiver-K'kree War, their world was swiftly blockaded and used as a supply base during the war. The Lalendri had no say in the matter, and were still behind the K'kree border when the war ended. Finally studied and found potentially useful by the K'kree, one of their larger communities was offered the K'kree Ultimatum, which they accepted. This group, with K'kree assistance, began to overwhelm other groups of Lalendri, and before another century had passed, the world was united as a client of the K'kree. The process had taken too long for the K'kree to make use of them as a free-standing client state to buffer the border with the Hivers, but the local K'kree Bosses made similar arrangements with the rapidly advancing Lalendri as an internal security area.

As a result the Lalendri are allowed to travel and have communities on several worlds in their home region, as well as a handful of ships built for them by the Hag'hg'k, themselves a K'kree client race. The Lalendri would eventually develop their own space-faring capabilities, but the K'kree do not allow them to build their own starships.
