System Data

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data

Mainworld Size (S)

Kizull is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Kizull has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Kizull has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

There is an ongoing power struggle between the leaders of Uranion, Kizull, and Tournakh. This has resulted in an ongoing low level rebellion on Uranion, characterised by violent oppression rather than any real fighting. Since the Tyrant of Uranion's paranoia and aggressive policing has been sweeping up off-worlders and treating them badly, the IISS has designated the world as an Amber Zone. The Sector Duke on Tripolis endorsed this action, hoping to keep the simmering trade war from spreading.

Ilelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Verge Sector, has offices and facilities on the world.

  • It is known for its intrusive and sensationalist style of journalism.

World Starport (St)

Kizull has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)

Kizull has a population of 8,000,000 sophonts (millions).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Technology Level (T)

Kizull possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.

World Government (G)

Kizull is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.

World Law (L)

Kizull has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility

Kizull, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

Trade Data

  • Importance: 0 (unimportant)

Kizull supplies nearby Uranion with agricultural goods in return for "advanced" TL 10 technology.

World Economy

  • Resources: 8 (moderate)
  • Labor: 5 (hundreds of thousands)
  • Infrastructure: 4 (very limited)
  • Efficiency: +1 (average)

World Culture

  • Heterogenity: 6 (harmonious)
  • Acceptance: 6 (aloof)
  • Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
  • Symbols: 5 (concrete)
