Ki Khtite is a Khai' listening post maintained to provide advance warning of Vampire fleets. But to its assigned personnel, it is no better than an exile camp. Boredom and the system's unappealing nature (thanks to frequent solar storms) makes this place the most unappealing duty in the entire Aslan Hierate. Vampires that pass through the system, when they come at all, are usually the most dilapidated and the least sane of Viruses, rarely providing a challenge to the local defense forces. More and more of the base personnel are those who have committed crimes of passion or property, that come or are assigned here to work off their crimes.
