Khemelov has a tainted, unbreatheable atmosphere and little available surface water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Ushra Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Khemelov, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Iruuk Bi.

History and background
Until 1014 it was a highly populated industrial world. However, a massive solar flare from Kossilov, its primary, led to the death of over 80% of the population. Most of the survivors were evacuated soon after.
A small, determined, minority remained after the tragic solar flare. They have taken quite extreme methods of increasing the population. In addition to attempting to attract new colonists through financial enticements, the planetary council has decreed that all must undergo forced cloning and have made it illegal not to clone. They are also experimenting with increasing the fertility of young adults. As a result, twins and triplets are a common sight on the surface.
