Keshiil is a poor, non-agricultural and moderate population desert world with no free-standing water, and over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in size.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- The population of this world is restless, massive in numbers, struggling in a tough, desert environment, and full of dissent. This world is ripe for revolution.
- Some hope to establish an industrial business sector here in the near future to increase prosperity. Others are looking into innovative food production means such as hydro- and aero-ponics in hope of making this world food-sufficient.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Dusa Subsector of Vland Sector in the Domain of Vland.

Keshiil is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Keshiil has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Keshiil has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)
Keshiil is one of only a few worlds in the Dusa Subsector. It was colonized towards the end of the Long Night.
A backwater world in a backwater subsector, Keshiil has little to speak for it. Colonized by rejects of every sort, pretty much anything goes. The Class C Down port provides repairs and unrefined fuel, and offers some degree of security, but it is advised to watch one's pockets while in the surrounding urban areas and their suburbs. The local police aren't interested in protecting their own people, and are even less likely to come to the aid of the random traveller[2].
Keshiil was never incorporated into the Ziru Sirka. Its status under the Rule of Man remains unclear. It became a member of the Imperium less than four centuries ago.
World Starport (St)
Keshiil has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Keshiil has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
