Foaenaekh is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and are both non-agricultural and nonindustrial in nature.

• These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
• Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
• They require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
• These worldlets have very few prospect for economic expansion.
• It is a member of the Ngath Confederation in the Gvadhoe Subsector of Windhorn Sector, within the Vargr Extents. The population is primarily Vargr.

• This world is controlled by Vedhaaez.
• The world was known as Kedhnang under a different pack leadership.
• It is a member of the Vedhaaez Cluster.

None of the bodies within the Foaenaekh belt retain an atmosphere.

The Foaenaekh belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.

• Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
• Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.

Foaenaekh was originally claimed by the Vilani more than eight millennia ago and was eventually absorbed into the Ziru Sirka. It was nominally under the authority of the Rule of Man prior to the Long Night.

• It has Ziru Sirka-era ruins and remains on its surface.

World Starport (St)

Foaenaekh has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

Foaenaekh has a population of 6,000,000 sophonts (millions).

• This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
• The population entirely consists of Vargr.

Foaenaekh has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).

Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:

• -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
• -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
• -2404 to -2215: the human Interstellar Wars rage to rimward. The region becomes increasingly neglected.
• -2400s: Vargr raiding into the region significantly increases. This becomes known as the Vargr Pillaging.
• -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man nominally administers the worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
• circa -1700: Vargr rimward expansion gradually ceases: the border between human and Vargr space stabilizes.
• -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
• The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
• 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
• 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
• 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
