Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Kahk'rik'kreng class Yacht is a private, luxury starship.
- It is a civilian ship and a Yacht.
Description (Specifications)
Using a 6,000 ton hull, the Kahk'rik'kreng class Yacht is a private courier intended to carry diplomatic and governmental missions quickly from place to place. The ship is a flattened sphere; the appearance is similar to a dome-shaped K'kree city. Within there are 1 1/2 decks; the main, full deck where the crew lives and works, and a half deck only 1 meter tall into which all machinery and fuel is placed. Access to the drive spaces is exclusively from above. The living quarters deck is 6 meters tall. The engineering section gives a performance of jump-3 and 1G acceleration. Fuel tankage of 1980 tons support the power plant and one jump-3. Adjacent to the bridge is a computer model/3. Accommodations for up to 60 individuals are available.
There are 15 hard points and 30 tons allocated for fire control. Fifteen double turrets - five double pulse lasers, five double missile launchers, and five double sandcasters - are installed. There are no ship's vehicles. Cargo capacity is 87 tons; each passenger space devoted to cargo adds 48 tons. The ship is streamlined.
The Kahk'rik'kreng requires a crew of 11: pilot 9 engineers, and medic. Technicians, gunners, and servants/stewards are drawn from the families of these principles. Up to 49 passengers or family members may be carried. The ship takes 34 months to build.
