Kaashik is a high-population, pre-rich garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size, a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts, and still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Sath Alliance in the Sarudis Subsector of Far Home Sector.
- Warning: humans are not welcome within the Sath Alliance. Those few humans that venture into its territory are generally met with a hostile reception and are closely monitored at all times.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- It is part of the Sha'a Cluster.

System Data[edit]
Ish'kiik-Kasshik System[edit]
The primary is Ish'kiik, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.886 Sols, a mass of 0.98 Sols, and a diameter of 1.391 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a trace atmosphere inner world, and (II) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (III) Kaashik orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a thin atmosphere hospitable world, (V) a sparse rocky planetoid belt, (VI) a large gas giant, and (VII) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Most of the worlds retain satellites.
Si'ki'sha Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Si'ki'sha, a dim red subdwarf star that lies approximately 2750 AU from Ish'kiik. It has a luminosity of 0.0056 Sols, a mass of 0.124 Sols, and a diameter of 189,000 km. (I) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (II) a very thin atmosphere iceworld, (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, and (IV) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retains satellites.
- The star experiences frequent flare activity.
Kaasis'aa Subsystem[edit]
The far companion is Kaasis'aa, a dim red subdwarf star that lies approximately 3350 AU from Ish'kiik. It has a luminosity of 0.0038 Sols, a mass of 0.114 Sols, and a diameter of 167,000 km. (I) a vacuum iceworld, (II) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (III) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (IV) a small gas giant, and (V) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retains satellites.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(III) Kaashik[edit]
(III) Kaashik is designated the mainworld. It orbits Ish'kiik at a mean distance of 0.67 AU (100 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 202 days 9 hours and a rotation period of 24.5 hours. The axial tilt is 15 degrees. Kaashik has a diameter of 11,393 km, a density of 5.42 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.88 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 0.97 bar and a composition of 79% nitrogen (N2), 20% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 47% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.2m. Mean surface temperature: 22°C. The climate is rated as Temperate-Warm and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star and the seas sweep across the globe.
Satellite[edit]
Kaashik retains a single natural satellite, a trace atmosphere worldlet named Iksh:
- (IIIa) Iksh (UWP Y310000-0, orbiting at 55 Diameters/625,000 km)
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
Total surface area: 408 million km², Land surface area: 216 million km², Water surface area: 192 million km².
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Ish'kiik-Kasshik System[edit]
Kaashik, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal. One example of a local predator is the Inojar.
No other world in the system is known to have native life.
Si'ki'sha Subsystem[edit]
No world in the subsystem is known to have native life.
Kaasis'aa Subsystem[edit]
No native life is known to exist within the subsystem.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This system is controlled by the Ka'sa Faction of the Sath Alliance.
World starport[edit]
Kaashik has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World technology level[edit]
Kaashik possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World government[edit]
Kaashik has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World military[edit]
One of the nation's forces are known as the Scion Light Brigade.
