The KE010 Grundel class AFV is a TL-10 Armored Fighting Vehicle.
- It is a military vehicle and a tracked AFV.
Description (Specifications)
The KE010 Grundel class AFV, TL-10: The vehicle's crystaliron armor sheaths the chassis to levels of protection equivalent to starship hull metal and better. This design is sealed with life support for the crew and passengers in vacuum and protected forces roles. A stock fusion power plant is installed for movement and to power the 19cm mass driver. There is a single launch rail on the side of the turret. The mass driver is equipped for indirect fire missions as well as point defense. A pair of laser rifles allow both the missile rail and the mass driver to paint and engage their own targets. The 7 passengers have full life support (proof against CBR/NBC threats) and exit via an airlock to the rear of the vehicle. Due to their high ground pressure their cross country speed is 50% of their road speed. They can get stuck in the mud on a roll of 5+. Their heavier armor means they are not amphibious, and have trouble finding bridges that can support their mass and exceed the 207 ton limit their tracked suspension is rated for. They tend to hide, trusting their extensive ECM to make spotting difficult. They halt, set up and wait for indirect fire in their area, they use their point defense as needed, and then fire two indirect missions on targets located by their counter battery RADAR. Then they scoot, with the mass driver powered up they are slow. The medium velocity weapon was selected for better indirect fire accuracy. It is the largest megawatt input the vehicle could accommodate and still have a little power left over to crawl. When the ammo is expended and the weapon is powered down they are freakishly fast for a vehicle of their size and quite dangerous on paved roads.
Basic Vehicle Characteristics
Following the Imperial Army and IISS Universal Vehicle Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the vehicle when applicable. Tonnage on the universal vehicle profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary.

6. | Armament | Weapons:
Two Laser Rifles are mounted in the turret. Each has a 100 shot battery. Their direct fire characteristics are:
19cm Medium Velocity Mass Driver: There is a turret mounted, stabilized medium velocity mass driver, with TL–10 point defense fire control (rolls 6 dice versus indirect fire missions); and TL–10 indirect fire control. It can engage 2 targets with a +0 signature. Rounds mass 52.5kg each and the weapon has storage for 400 rounds of ammunition. With a ROF of 20, this is enough for 20 fire phases. The weapon requires 35.175 MW input and slows the vehicle to a crawl cross country while firing in point defense or direct fire modes. The vehicle may not move and perform indirect fire missions. It requires 14 turns to set up, and fires 1.34 rounds/second. Its indirect fire accuracy is +3 up to 25km range and +1 up to 50km range.

TAC Missiles
There is a 127.735 kg capacity TAC missile launch rail on the side of the turret. It uses a 24kg 30cm HEAP 58 warhead and it takes three crew members to manually reload these missiles if additional rounds are available, or carried in the cargo space. The homing missiles struggle to achieve intercepts against vehicles protected with advanced ECM abilities. The vehicle uses a pair of laser rifles with 100 shot batteries to designate a pair of its own targets and can hand off to deployed infantry to spot and mark targets. A single homing missile is included in the price.

History & Background (Dossier)
The KE010 Grundel class AFV was designed and manufactured at TL–10, these vehicles are manufactured for the Korsumug Empire in Mavuzog and Theta Borealis Sectors. They have TL–10 point defense fire control systems for the mass driver. Eight vehicles is equivalent to an artillery battery with 80 marines. The 56 dismounted marines tend to spot for the target designated missiles and laser guided artillery rounds. They use RADAR for longer range counter battery fire and the shorter range 10 power target acquisition LADAR for point defense fire and direct fire applications. The homing missiles are less effective against vehicles with ECM. The weapon load tends to reduce the crews ability to multi-task, and as a result they tend to engage with one weapon system at a time.
