A Jump Reef is an area of jump space that constitutes a spacetime anomaly.

It has the following observable effects:

  • Greater chance of jump drive failure and misjump

This Astrographic Phenomenon like many other anomalies is poorly understood.

The Great Reef of Touchstone Sector is an example of this phenomenon.

It is suspected that The Borderland Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector may contain a jump reef.
