Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Jolly Green Giant class Tanker is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Tanker.
Description (Specifications)
A broad fully Streamlined flattened sphere hull, this saucer is massive and yet capable of limited atmospheric maneuvers up to an including oceanic frontier refueling under delicate conditions. Capable of jump 4 range and 3G acceleration it can keep up with imperial naval formations. Its only defense is its agility 3 rating and the factor one black globe generator which it uses to hide. It supports combat squadrons on the line and is expected to be under escort at all times. Its marines need help for rapid deployment and are often held as a security reserve. It would have to land on the surface of a world to deploy its troops en masse, which most fleet admirals are loath to do under any normal circumstances. The ship's vehicles can not move the crew in a reasonable amount of time.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
