Isokaze class Destroyer Escorts have jump 5 range and 5 G acceleration, but suffer from lower agility. They were designed and build by an ancient clan of naval shipwrights and architects who can trace their families' roots back to the ROM, and are of Solomani descent. They are used for long range operations in the 156th Fleet, where they serve. Their only real defense is light armor cladding over certain vital systems, to avoid catastrophic critical hits. They are streamlined for ocean refueling if need be, with scoops and refineries. They rely on turret weapon systems. They have six triple missile turrets, four triple beam laser turrets and five dual fusion gun turrets. Their fire control batteries are arranged for target rich environments against numerous lightly armored targets. They lack the hitting power to deal with heavier classes of naval vessels and avoid those engagements. These ships can be used to transport a single Imperial Mark V Death Machine.
