Major Historical Events Timeline

Inar, originally designated District 219, was deliberately settled between 180 and 350 as a foothold into Vargr territory and a military buffer zone during the Vargr Campaigns. Inar subsector was admitted into the Imperium in 325.

(220 to 348): Vargr Campaigns

The largest Main in Deneb, the Sabinar Main, connects many worlds in Sabine and Inar subsectors. The Duchy of Inar is the most powerful state in Deneb, with influence significantly better than the next strongest powers, the duchies of Atsah and Vincennes. The Duchy of Inar also has powerful megacorporate ties, going back to the Vargr Campaigns. The Duchy of Inar has an adversarial relationship with its former ally, the Duchy of Vincennes, and fights numerous petty border squabbles with Vincennes and Pretoria.

The Inar Subsector is defended by 257th Fleet. The Imperium placed its depot in Inar due to the competitiveness of Deneb’s political system. The central location allows the Imperial Navy to protect the Coreward frontier while also keeping a close watch over Inar, Vincennes and Atsah subsectors. The industrial core of Inar subsector has always produced naval ships for the Imperium.

Inar owes this strength mainly to three worlds:

  1. Starn (world),
  2. Liiri (Deneb 1016), and
  3. Kubishush (Deneb 0917).

Politics and Diplomacy : Milieu 1116

Inar, subsector F of Deneb contains 36 worlds with an estimated population of 80 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,283, and a total economy is BCr423,287. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr2,156 through 29 starports (2 Class A, 14 Class B, 7 Class C, 6 Class D) employing 475,140 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, one Rich (Ri) world, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Inar maintain 12 Scout bases, five Naval bases, two Way stations, and one Naval depot. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 15 at Starn (Deneb 1417) and Depot (Deneb 1613).

Inar, subsector F of Deneb contains 52 stars and 369 identified planets; 20 monostellar systems, 16 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 31 of the 36 systems (86%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, two Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, six Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and four Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Inar has an estimated population of 80 billion distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 22 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, nine Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Ashasi (Deneb 1618). The population consists of 4 sophont groups including one native sophont.
