Description (Specifications)[edit]

These vehicles are part of the Imperial class Grav APC family.

These Armored Personnel Carriers are unofficially known as "The Big Stick". It is no accident that these vehicles have no low-lethality secondary weapons. It has no means of responding to provocation while limiting collateral damage - that is not its job.

The fact that these vehicles are armed with with Nuclear Missiles and Fusion Weapons was well advertised throughout the Imperium, and the message was clear: when the Marines arrive, the party is over, and no half-measures will be taken. Marines are not Peacekeepers - they are Peacemakers - even if the peace is the peace of the dead.

Unlike the Imperial class Grav APC as used by the Imperial Army, the missile launcher is contained in the turret and thus protected from incidental damage at a slight loss of flexibility. Also unlike the Imperial class Grav APC it has a full-sized battle computer installed. The computer was required because of the low unit density of most Marine deployments, and accounts for the high unit cost of the vehicle.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This design was developed as the Imperial Marines equivalent of the Imperial Army's Imperial class Grav APC in the Imperial class Grav APC family.

Those Imperial Marines facing the Zhodani Consulate and Sword Worlds Confederation in the Spinward Marches Sector had fully upgraded to be using these systems in time for the Fifth Frontier War.
