The Imperial Stormtroopers, clad in white armor and equipped with the most advanced military equipment, was a military organization in the Third Imperium. It was separate from the Imperial Army, Imperial Navy, and Imperial Marines. They were a branch of COMPNOR intended to ensure that the regular Imperial military remained loyal to the Imperium. Stormtroopers were indoctrinated, and could not be bribed, seduced, or blackmailed into betraying the Third Imperium or its ruling Emperor.
The Stormtroopers were fragmented into rival factions by the Imperial Civil War, but were finally permanently disbanded by Emperor Cleon V in Year 617.
