System Data
Ka'ashith-Iakah System
The primary is Ka'ashith, an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 8.1 Sols, a mass of 1.7 Sols, and a diameter of 2.366 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, (II) a vacuum worldlet, (III) a very thin atmosphere radworld, (IV) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, and (V) Iakah, designated the mainworld. (VI-I) an exotic atmosphere hospitable world, and (VI-II) sparse stony planetoid belt, have a shared orbit within the habitable zone. (VII) a ringed large gas giant, (VIII) a small gas giant, and (IX) a large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(V) Iakah
(V) Iakah is designated the mainworld. It orbits Ka'ashith at a mean distance of 1.87 AU (279.6 million km), within the H+ region of the inner system. It has an orbital period of 1 year 351 days and a rotation period of 21 hours. The axial tilt is 23 degrees. Iakah has a diameter of 11,557 km, a density of 5.48 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.90 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Dense, with a mean surface pressure of 2.33 bar and a composition of 79% nitrogen (N2), 20% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Iakah is a water world: approximately 97.5% of the surface is covered in an ocean of liquid water. Average tidal ranges exceed 1.3m. Mean surface temperature: 22°C. The climate is rated as Temperate-Warm and experiences moderate seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is dynamic and powerful weather systems driven by the star and the oceans surge across the globe.
Satellite
Iakah retains a single natural satellite, a cratered vacuum worldlet named Iaka-hi:
- (Va) Iaka-hi (known UWP ?300???-?, orbiting at 15 Diameters/175,000 km)
Mainworld Geography and Topography
Total surface area: 420 million km², Water surface area: 409 million km², Land surface area: 11 million km².
Native Lifeforms
Ka'ashith-Iakah System
Iakah, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
No other world in the system is known to have native life.
