History & Background (Dossier)

Hyperion is the center of small alliance of worlds known as the Hyperion League. It is the main focus of trade through the Hyperion and Diadem subsectors. Taking full advantage of its central location, the world has changed from a sleepy, mediocre industrial world into a major Enterprise node, shipbuilder and power broker. The world was subjected to a three-way war during the 1170s between factions backed by the Corellian League and the Murians, and local nationalists. The nationalists won after importing Aslan mercenaries to bolster their forces. The Amber Zone rating reflects lingering suspicions and tensions between the victors and their subjugated foes.

World Starport

Hyperion has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
