Huderu is a barren world with no registered population or government. This world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Rhylanor Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb.
Astrography & Planetology
Huderu is an isolated system, unconnected to any other system. Huderu's system contains a single red dwarf star, two planetoid belts, five minor rock and ice worlds and the molten core mainworld.
The mainworld, Huderu Beta, has a low pressure oxygen-nitrogren atmosphere with a high carbon dioxide taint. Despite it being located outside of the system's "Goldilocks" zone it is on the very cool end of temperate due to a significant greenhouse effect. The world is just warm enough to keep the oceans from freezing. The world has two large seas, separated from each other in the northern and southern hemispheres. These are both heavily carbonated from undersea volcanic activity. The water contains a significant percentage of carbonic acid and has a PH too low to support life.
Huderu has no starport or population on the surface. Ocean refueling is possible but prohibited by the IISS interdiction squadron to avoid interfering with biosphere development.

Mainworld Geography & Topography
Huderu Beta has few major geographic features other than the two large oceans in the north and the south. The oceans are separated by a large continental mountain range, but may have once been a single sea.
History & Background (Dossier)
There is no population on Huderu and no history of colonization is apparent. The world was cataloged during the First and Second Surveys. In addition the Huderu system has had several surveys done, both by private firms and the IISS, looking for useful minerals. No minerals worth exploitation were discovered on Huderu Beta or in the planetoid belts. The world is not suitable for agriculture due to its cold temperature, acidic hydrosphere and soil. Further public surveys ceased after interdiction.
Huderu was interdicted by the Scout Service in 1084 after the last mineral survey. The interdiction is enforced by a small squadron and regular Scout patrols. The Second Survey report for Huderu indicated native terrestrial lichen or algae that was thought to be a transplant. The survey also reported a single example of a large hostile life form living in the northern ocean, but further exploration did not locate this or any other complex creature. Further studies indicated that the world may be developing a nascent biosphere. Worlds in this situation in Charted Space are rare and the Scouts are maintaining the interdiction to observe this process.
