Description

Hollow Sector is a largely unexplored wilderness. The positions and types of its stars have been cataloged as part of the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program.

  • Basilisk's Eye (1723 Tarchon Sector). The extremely luminous white supergiant star, lying around 75 parsecs to trailing, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Hollow Sector.
  • Demon's Eye (1621 Far Home Sector). The intensely luminous blue supergiant star, lying around 60 parsecs to spinward-rimward, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Hollow Sector.

Hollow Sector is a backwater area that has only been partially explored.

Demographics

Formerly, billions of humans descended from individuals who were originally part of the Last Armada. Their civilisations were extinguished during the 49th century and the Sector is currently believed to be unpopulated.

Native Sophonts (NILs)

No native sophont species are known to exist within Hollow Sector. There may be unknown NILs among its unnamed and unexplored coreward and trailing systems.

Interstellar Relations

No polities currently exist within (or make a claim on any part of) Hollow Sector.

  • A defunct polity (the Dominion of Ruins) occupied the spinward-rimward quadrant of the Sector. It came to an abrupt end during the 48th century.
