- It is a member of the Zodia Colonies, part of the Aslan Hierate, in the Aoaeisea Subsector of Iwahfuah Sector.
- About 80% of the population is composed of humans.
- About 20% of the population is composed of Aslan and other non-human sophonts.

- Although within Aslan Hierate space, Hitoku is one of the ten Zodia Colonies and populated by biological humans who are culturally Aslan.

Hitoku has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair.
