The Hasst'kor of Prt'aow (Spica 2340) are an extinct race.

Physiology & Environment[edit]

The third and fourth planets in their home system both supported intelligent life.

The third planet, Prt'aow, was home to the Hasst'kor, a race of roughly Solomani size and shape. More of their physiology is not known; apparently they did not have the habit of portraying their form or likeness in art, at least not in a form which could survive the centuries; their anatomical and biological records also deteriorated long ago.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Hasst'kor were destroyed around -10000 Imperial in an interplanetary war with their neighbors. Prior to their destruction they genetically engineered the Prt' as their servants. When the war was over, the Prt' remained and remembered them only through their legends. The name translates as those-who-came-before.

Culture & Society[edit]

Of their mentality and philosophy, the only remaining demonstration is the condition of the fourth planet. Its surface is almost entirely stripped of life and pockmarked with huge craters. It is hypothesized that crude anti-matter ordnance was used. Of the race that dwelt there, only the barest traces remain.

Technology & Trade[edit]

Their technology was roughly TL–9, but they had not discovered jump drives. Their bio-technology, however, evidently rated about TL–16 they were superb bio-technicians.
