Graymalk is the staple crop of Khalan (Dagudashaag 2007). This is a genetically altered grain specifically suited to that worlds ecosystems and edible by Humaniti. It now grows on over 70% of the land area and is a major part of the diet on most worlds in the Arnakhish Subsector. The pollen provokes a strong allergic reaction in most humans, though there are simple and inexpensive allergen treatments available.
