The Ekel Glachith system is home to Theimr Aekl, the largest university in the subsector. Although subjects as diverse as Droyne medicine, xenobiology, and astronomy are taught, T-Aeki is most highly regarded for its history department. It is regarded as the foremost authority on Ziadd pre-history and archaeology, and has one of the largest collection of Vilani, Ziadd, and Rule of Man writings outside Capital. Popular rumor is the university holds a massive collection of un-catalogued Ancients artifacts.

Glachith, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
