Gishu Amkhir has both an unbreathably thin atmosphere and a lack of surface water making habitation by sophonts difficult. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. Government control of this world is by an external military force.  This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Gishu Amkhir, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Irga.

Astrography and planetology

Gishu Amkhir is stunningly beautiful. The world is the fourth moon of the spectacular ringed gas giant Zukhir, which in turn orbits a pair of close binary stars. The two primaries create glowing auroras that fill the night sky. The deserts, the canyons, the mountains, and the rugged coastlines are equally impressive.

History and background

Gishu Amkhir was colonized and has been ruled by autocrats since that time. The Imperium was forced to remove the last dictator when her regime's appalling Sophonts' rights record became public. Although the governmental bureaucracy remained in place, it is now controlled by an Imperial military governor.
