Gingesh has both a thin tainted atmosphere and no surface water which makes habitation by sophonts difficult. The system has a population between 10,000 and a million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions make it dangerous to visitors. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Nulinad Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Domain of Antares. Gingesh, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.

History and Background[edit]

Although too dry to serve as the home for Bwap crèches, nonetheless they would find themselves at home in the relatively restrictive nature of Gingesh’s overly-bureaucratic government. Originally settled as a colony world during the First Imperium, the various departments of the original colonial corporation survive to today in the form of independent agencies that provide civil service to the general population of Gingesh. The Board President, appointed by joint committee after a quite exhaustive and grueling interview process, speaks publicly for the Board of Directors, but the true political power lies in the hands of the Agency Managers that lead each agency.

As part of the Sashar-Pamushgar Cluster, Gingesh was strongly affected by Abadani, an interstellar anti-Noble communist movement. Its influence has faded substantially since the 950s, but some of the symbols, ways of thought, and old slogans are still part of everyday life.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Gingesh, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.

World Starport[edit]

Gingesh has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
