Giirakh has an ideal environment for producing agricultural goods and an balanced population between 10 and 100 million. The governance of this world is from Syrna (Dagudashaag 0329). It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Giirakh, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdoms of a baron and a minor duke. All three are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. 40% of the world's population is the Minor Race Jala'Lak. During the Long Night this world was named Adziuumla.

Native Sophont: Jala'Lak

This world is conjectured to be the homeworld of the Jala'Lak. Clearly they are not native to Giirakh and consequently are the subject of much debate. In addition to Giirakh, the Jala'Lak can also be found on their home world of Uaam (Dagudashaag 0940). But for an as yet inexplicable reason, their temper is vastly different - much more savage, even cannibalistic.

History and background

Giirakh is the major agricultural exporter in Zeda, feeding the capital itself and many worlds of the Amec Trade Protectorate.

Point of Interest: Local environmental Laws

There are very strict environmental laws on this world, mainly to protect the agro-businesses' profits. Skimming for fuel within the oceans or purging of ships wastes within 25,000 km of the planetary surface will cost offenders MCr2 and a five year prison sentence. Enforcement is through the Office of the Environment and their agents, the Eco-Wardens. The wardens are, in some quarters, are feared more than the local Religious Inquisitors.
