A term referring to “common” people.
Description / Specifications
Specifically it refers to those individuals whose ancestors originated from GenPods and were raised by Hoppers, rather than being descended from Fives, the original settlers and crew aboard the Last Armada.
- The term is often used in a derogatory sense.
- First Gens are those individuals descended from the very first batches of Gens that originated within the Distant Fringe – they are considered to be a social level above other later-descended Gens.

"Ancestry" indicates the character's ancestral origins and lineage based on their generated Social Status score. An individual's ancestry is complicated, however, and it is possible for processes such as genealogical study, genetic evidence or family revelations to reveal otherwise unknown aspects of an individual's heritage, effectively changing their understanding of their ancestral origins.
