GeDeCo was founded to improve the standing of the disparate human colonies, but in time its aims in regions like Trojan Reach Sector shifted, to influencing the course of local history. In the Reach, their psychohistorians predicted that unless the Aslan were dealt with in some regard, they would eventually conquer the whole Domain of Deneb; the Peace of Ftahalr couldn't stand against the inevitabile demographics. The Imperium’s policy of containment and appeasement, they believed, was futile. GeDeCo intended to turn the whole Trojan Reach into a firebreak to stop the Aslan advance.

- In 700, a group of these nobles pooled their resources to buy bankrupt fledgling lines, merging them to form GeDeCo.
- Vilani megacorporation Zirunkariish supported the company's formation and took a 25% equity stake. The company also ensured that the owning House Shiishuginsa took a 10% equity stake. Not surprisingly, some of the nobles are related by blood or marriage to House Shiishuginsa.
Economic historians credit GeDeCo with raising the frontier's tech levels to the "average stellar" range.
