Gebhara is a poor, industrial, high-population hellworld, with a billion or more sophonts in size, who struggle to survive in an inhospitable environment.

  • Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants.
  • As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Dalesabandagh Subsector of Far Frontiers Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

More than two millennia before the rise of the Third Imperium, this world caused trouble for Zhodani traders in the Far Frontiers. Gebhara sent a bioweapons package that wiped out several of the plants and microscopic animals at the base of the food chain on D'rarayi. Large portions of the native ecology collapsed, throwing D'rarayi's people into a scramble for planetwide survival. Many other worlds with similar desires then began to emulate the methods of the Gebharai. Zhodani traders, despite being alerted to the problem, were seldom successful in detecting or stopping the attacks that traveled on their ships. Finally, in -2381, the general mental state among the traders was sufficiently agitated that the Tavrchedl' acted for their health. Appropriately talented "thought police" were attached to many ships, serving as both "bomb sniffers" and as gunboat diplomats.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Gebhara does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Population (P)[edit]

60 billion

World Government (G)[edit]

Gebhara is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

Gebhara possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
